Travel adventures in finding and tasting the great beers of the world

The view from our room at Hotel Erasmus.

Wall decorations at Brasserie Erasmus, which serves great beer food.

Brouwerij Straffe Hendrik-De Halve Maan brewing since 1856

Zot brown at the end of the tour is delicious.

A perfect spot on a sunny afternoon, Terrastje. Good beer list and good bistro type food.

Looking back at Terrastje, you have canal views from the outside seats

Inside the oldest bar, Ulissinghe, it's perfect to dodge a rainshower.

Don't let the outside fool you...go on in!
Ulissinghe, circa 1515?

Curiosa, downstairs and awesome. Good beers and food.

Once down the stairs, the cellar is a great place to taste some new beers.

This sight of empty crates got me excited! Next door was a terrific beer store named B2B.

We purchased a special edition Rochefort and two goblets. The manager said to cellar the beer and never drink it! I promised him I would wait till the day before I die.
